Hazelnut Energy Bars

This was one of the first-ever recipes I created and still to this day, it's one of my favorites! I used to make these to replace my store-bought chocolate bar addiction years ago. Made from pure organic plant-based ingredients, you can't go wrong.⁠

Ingredients⁠

1 1/4 cups of raw almonds⁠
1 1/4 cups of raw hazelnuts⁠
2 cups of dates (soak in warm water for 15mins prior)⁠
2 tbsp chia seeds⁠
2 tbsp sesame seeds⁠
1 tsp pure vanilla extract⁠
1 tbsp maple syrup⁠
1/2 cup cacao powder⁠
1/4 tsp sea salt⁠

Directions⁠

1. Combine almonds and hazelnuts in your food processor or high powered blender on high until it resembles a fine meal.⁠
2. Add dates and process until the mixture is sticky.⁠
3. Add the remaining ingredients and process on high until well mixed.⁠
4. Remove mixture and press into a baking tray lined with baking paper.⁠
5. Place in the freezer for 1 hour and then slice into bars.
