Nutritious Kid-Loved Waffles

These waffles are a delightful fusion of flavor and nutrition, designed to make both kids and parents smile. Packed with wholesome ingredients, they're not only delicious but also a guilt-free way to start the day. Say goodbye to the morning rush with these quick and easy waffles that are as nutritious as they are scrumptious. Let's dive into this delightful recipe that will have your kids asking for more while keeping you worry-free about what's on their plate.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups spelt flour
1 cup raw milk (or organic full cream milk)
1/2 cup almond meal
3 tbsps pure maple syrup or honey
3 tbsps coconut oil, melted
3 eggs, pasture raised
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda

Method:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth, or alternatively use a blender.

  2. Preheat waffle maker and use 1/3 cup of mixture per waffle, to cook the waffles.

  3. Top with toppings of choice eg. maple syrup, peanut butter, banana, berries, yoghurt

These can be frozen for future use, or popped in the fridge for the next day. Reheat by popping in the toaster, or frying in some butter or coconut oil in a frypan.
